$150 will purchase not only a sewing machine but also provide an unskilled woman with lessons over a 12 month period so she can learn to sew.

A qualified tailor will teach the women to sew a couple of days a week over the course of a year. Upon completion of the training, the women are celebrated and awarded with a brand new sewing machine. As electricity is unreliable in many areas, this machine is a treadle machine, so that the women can use it any time! This training and the machine sets up a woman with the skills needed to earn money, work and provide for her family.

You will receive a Christmas card stating your gift which you may then give to someone in lieu of a gift, and GSM will distribute what you bought to those who need it most.
