By donating a tree, GSM gives a tree to communities to be used for shade, shelter and re-forestation. Encouraging natural environment is best for people and animals, and by planting trees, we are rebuilding what has been damaged or removed over time. This supports communities in several ways. Trees provide shade which keeps villages cooler in the hot months. They also provide shelter when the weather is bad.
We will give a selection of trees, some large shady ones and some fruit ones such as coconut, mango, cashew, tamarind, guava or orange. The tree given will depend on the area of placement and availability of tree at the time.
You will receive a Christmas card which you can give to someone in lieu of a gift, and GSM will give the tree to a community in Orissa.
